On November 5, 2023, 14-year-old Braylon Hardges was fatally shot near East 90th Street and Edmunds Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio. The incident occurred around 6:20 p.m. as Braylon and 16-year-old Steven Sopko were leaving Sopko's girlfriend's residence. As they walked down the street, Sopko allowed Braylon to walk ahead before firing 12 shots into his back. After Braylon fell, Sopko leaned over and fired a final shot.
