On June 1, 2024, at approximately 3 a.m., Cincinnati police responded to a reported shooting in the 5200 block of Holland Drive in the Winton Hills neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered two individuals inside an apartment with fatal gunshot wounds: Kevin Barton, 38, and Zyonn Reliford-Gilbert, 24. Despite life-saving efforts by Cincinnati Fire personnel, both were pronounced dead at the scene.

A third male victim was found outside the residence, suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and chest. He was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, underwent surgery, and was listed in stable condition. Authorities have not released his identity.

The Hamilton County Coroner's Office later indicated that the incident is being investigated as an apparent murder-suicide. Records show that Reliford-Gilbert's death was classified as a homicide, while Barton's was considered a suicide. However, Cincinnati police have not confirmed these details or provided information regarding the circumstances leading up to the shooting.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and authorities have not identified any suspects beyond the individuals involved. The investigation remains ongoing. Police urge anyone with information to contact the Cincinnati Police Department's Homicide Unit at 513-352-3542.
