Two suspects, Clevester Steele and Tristian Herron, both 23 years old, were arrested and charged with aggravated murder in connection with Peek's death. Steele was arrested on June 25, 2014, and Herron was arrested shortly after. Both were held in the Hamilton County Detention Center on significant bonds. A third suspect, Piante Wallace, 26, was also wanted in connection with the killing but remained at large.
The Cincinnati Police Homicide Unit continued its investigation into the shooting, seeking to gather more information and locate the remaining suspect. The community was deeply affected by the violence, and efforts were made to address the ongoing issue of gun violence in the city.
