On October 9, 2024, at approximately 2:02 PM, Columbus Police officers were dispatched to the 6200 block of Quarter Horse Drive in north Columbus, Ohio, responding to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered 27-year-old Jshawn Simmons suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of Columbus Fire EMS personnel, Simmons was pronounced deceased at 2:11 PM.
