On August 24, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Roswell, New Mexico, resulting in the death of 30-year-old Chrystina Anita Gonzales. The Roswell Police Department reported that a shooting took place in the 600 block of South Adams Avenue around 9:30 a.m. Gonzales was found lying on the ground in the front yard of her residence, suffering from a gunshot wound.
