On March 22, 2018, the body of 29-year-old Marisela Barela was discovered in the 6100 block of Chickasaw Road in Roswell, New Mexico. A passerby walking their dogs found her lifeless body and alerted authorities at approximately 9:40 a.m. The Chaves County Sheriff's Office responded promptly to the scene. Barela was identified through a driver's license found in her possession.
