In the early hours of April 1, 2023, the life of 18-year-old Curtis Smith, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in Las Vegas, Nevada. The incident began at approximately 2:20 a.m. when Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting near Tamara Costa Court and Sunrise Mountain Drive. At the scene, they discovered evidence of gunfire, but no victims or suspects were present.
