On a Christmas Eve that should have been filled with warmth and celebration, a tragedy unfolded in a Las Vegas neighborhood, forever altering the lives of one family. Robert Glen, a 43-year-old Black/African American male, was shot and killed in front of his own home on December 24, 2023. The incident, which cast a dark shadow over the holiday, stemmed from a sudden and violent altercation.
The evening took a fatal turn around 8:45 p.m. on the 2900 block of Howard Drive.
An argument broke out between Glen and three other individuals. The verbal dispute escalated with shocking speed, culminating in gunfire. Glen was struck in the torso, and the assailants fled the scene before law enforcement could arrive. Despite the immediate response of emergency services, Glen's injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Clark County coroner's office would later confirm that the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds.
In the wake of this senseless act of violence, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department launched a homicide investigation. As of late December 2023, no arrests had been made, and the three suspects remained at large.
