On April 8, 2023, Don-Shay Hardy, a 38-year-old woman from Saint Paul, Minnesota, was tragically shot and killed in her apartment located in the Battle Creek neighborhood on the city's East Side. The incident occurred in the 200 block of Hillsdale Avenue.
