In the early hours of a Wednesday morning, on June 3, 2020, the life of 29-year-old Black / African American mother, Ashli Koren Johnson, was tragically cut short in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Police responded to reports of gunfire around 3 a.m. near the intersection of Hall Avenue and West Stevens Street in the city's Riverview neighborhood. Upon their arrival, they discovered Johnson inside her car, having sustained apparent gunshot wounds.
