Murdered

On January 4, 2024, in Lake Benton, Minnesota, 81-year-old Sandra Wilson Goertz was found deceased in her home from multiple gunshot wounds. Her husband, 80-year-old Irwin Edward Goertz, was discovered critically injured at the scene and later died at a nearby hospital from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Midwest Medical Examiner's Office ruled Sandra's death a homicide and Irwin's death a suicide.
