Aniya Allen, a six-year-old girl from Minneapolis, MN, was tragically shot on May 17, 2021, while sitting in the back seat of her family's car near the intersection of 36th and Penn Avenue North. She was eating a McDonald's Happy Meal when a stray bullet struck her in the head. Aniya was rushed to Hennepin Healthcare, where she succumbed to her injuries two days later.
