On a Tuesday afternoon, April 23, 2024, a quiet residential street in Lino Lakes, Minnesota, became the scene of a somber discovery that would leave a community searching for answers. Inside a home, police responding to a request for a welfare check found the bodies of 67-year-old Nancy Jo Kruse and her adult son, 46-year-old Jimmy Ray Kruse. Both had been fatally shot.
