In the early morning hours of December 16, 2022, the life of 32-year-old Alexandra Lee Pennig was cut short in her downtown Saint Paul, Minnesota apartment. Responding to a distressing 911 call made by her boyfriend, 44-year-old Matthew Ecker, police arrived to find a tragic scene.
