On a tragic spring afternoon in Olathe, Kansas, the life of 19-year-old Jessica Necole Hicks, a Black/African American female, was cut short. On April 15, 2023, at approximately 4:46 p.m., Olathe Police Officers were dispatched to the area of North Rogers Road and West 126th Street following reports of a homicide. Upon their arrival, they discovered Jessica, lovingly known as "Honey," inside a vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
