On January 19, 2024, 15-year-old Brianna Rachell Higgins of Lawrence, Kansas, was fatally shot near the 16900 block of West 127th Street in Olathe. She was transported to Olathe Medical Center, where, despite lifesaving efforts by medical staff and officers, she succumbed to her injuries.
