In the spring of 2023, the life of 33-year-old Sherman Coleman Jr., a Black male from Topeka, Kansas, was tragically cut short. On the evening of Monday, April 17, 2023, an incident of gun violence unfolded in the 2300 block of SE Bellview Avenue in Topeka.
