On a summer evening in Wichita, Kansas, the life of a 39-year-old Black man, Felix Whitfield, was tragically cut short. On July 16, 2023, just before 9 p.m., police were called to the 1800 block of South Exchange following reports of a shooting. There, in a driveway near Harry and McLean, they found Whitfield suffering from a gunshot wound.
