On February 2, 2024, 17-year-old Julio Iram Ruiz Guedea, a junior at Wichita Southeast High School, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident in east Wichita, Kansas. The incident occurred around 8:50 p.m. in the 100 block of North Zelta Street. Julio sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
