On a Tuesday evening in Wichita, Kansas, the life of a 27-year-old Black / African American man, Quentin Gordon, was tragically cut short. On June 4, 2024, at approximately 9:27 p.m., police and emergency services were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 4800 block of East Funston following a 911 call reporting a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Gordon suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
