A 31-year-old Hispanic male, Carlos Romeo Galvez Jr., lost his life in a shooting that stemmed from a fistfight outside a bar in Harvey, Louisiana, on January 8, 2023. The altercation, which also resulted in a 17-year-old being injured, led to the arrest of a man and a woman in connection with the fatal incident.
The events unfolded in the early morning hours in a parking lot, where a physical confrontation between several individuals escalated.
During the brawl, a woman is alleged to have retrieved a firearm and handed it to a male companion, who then opened fire. Galvez sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The teenage victim was also struck by gunfire and was subsequently hospitalized.
