In the spring of 2023, a young man’s life was abruptly cut short on a street in the Gentilly neighborhood of New Orleans. Charlie Franklin, a 25-year-old male, was found inside a vehicle on the evening of Thursday, March 30th, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The grim discovery was made in the 3400 block of Franklin Avenue, near a local Shell gas station, where the scene of the fatal shooting would soon be cordoned off by law enforcement.
