On April 18, 2023, Ray Griffin, a 21-year-old aspiring rapper from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, died in a shooting incident. The incident occurred on Denova Street, near Greenwell Street, where Griffin and another man, Steven Brown, 29, engaged in an argument that escalated into a gunfight.
