In August of 2019, 36-year-old Michael Allen, a male resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was found deceased inside his home on Townsley Street. Concerns arose after friends and family had not seen or heard from him for several days, leading to the discovery of his body on August 12th.
Upon their arrival at the Scotlandville area home, Baton Rouge Police detectives immediately began investigating the death as a homicide.
Their inquiries into Allen's recent activities and relationships soon pointed them toward a person of interest. The investigation revealed that the killing likely stemmed from an ongoing domestic dispute.
Within a short period, authorities made an arrest in connection with the case. A 16-year-old male juvenile was taken into custody and subsequently charged with the shooting death of Allen. Due to his age, the suspect's name was not publicly released. He was booked into the Juvenile Detention Center on charges of first-degree murder and juvenile in possession of a firearm. Additional charges included being a fugitive from the Office of Juvenile Justice for theft of a firearm and simple burglary.
