On May 12, 2023, a tragic shooting occurred in New Orleans, resulting in the deaths of two 20-year-old women, Imani Williams and JaDiamond Jones. The incident took place around 1:30 a.m. on North Claiborne Avenue, near a hookah bar in the Tremé area. Imani Williams, a student at Southern University, had just celebrated her 20th birthday, while JaDiamond Jones was an aspiring nurse just days away from graduating from Nunez Community College.
