On a Friday afternoon in Plaquemine, Louisiana, Donnie Ray Brown, a 65-year-old man, was shot twice. The incident occurred on Folse Street, near Bayou Plaquemine. Brown was quickly transported to a local hospital, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries on August 11, 2023. Known affectionately as Donald Ray, his death was a result of gun violence.
