Death by Force

On August 14, 2023, at approximately 3:30 a.m., New Orleans Police Department officers responded to a medical emergency call at the intersection of Banks and South Broad Streets in the Mid-City neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered 44-year-old Joseph Pitts, Sr., unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
