Demetrius Markeith Owens, a 29-year-old resident of Rodessa, Louisiana, was fatally shot in the southwest area of Shreveport on September 8, 2023. The incident occurred just after 10:35 p.m. when Owens was attempting to enter an apartment in the 9100 block of Walker Road. He was shot multiple times by another individual at the apartment.
