On November 5, 2023, a homicide occurred in the 2600 block of First Street in New Orleans, Louisiana. At approximately 4:05 a.m., New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) First District detectives responded to a call of a shot person. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male who had sustained at least one gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of Emergency Medical Services (EMS), the victim was declared deceased at the scene.
