In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Shreveport, Louisiana, violence shattered the pre-dawn quiet at the Orleans Square Apartments. It was there, on November 12, 2023, that 28-year-old Kenmorria Kendrick, a male resident of Shreveport, was found in the parking lot, having been shot multiple times. The Shreveport Police Department received a call about shots fired on Chalmette Drive at approximately 1:42 a.m.
and responded to the scene.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered Kendrick with gunshot wounds to his torso. He was immediately transported to Ochsner LSU Health hospital for medical attention. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Kenmorria Kendrick succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 3:29 a.m. The Caddo Parish Coroner's office later formally identified him. His death marked the 73rd homicide in Caddo Parish for that year.
The Shreveport Police Department's investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
