In the light of a tragic Sunday afternoon, Jaeden D. Williams, a 23-year-old male, lost his life in a fatal shooting in Shreveport, Louisiana. Williams was a 2018 graduate of Captain Shreve High School and was known as a compassionate and caring person with a zest for life.
He was a native of Prichard, Alabama, who had relocated to Shreveport in 2015.
On that fateful day, Williams was one of three occupants in a gray Dodge Charger on Rainbow Drive. Suddenly, their vehicle was riddled with bullets from a rifle, causing it to crash into a tree. The brazen daylight attack resulted in Williams and another passenger, 22-year-old Carvarion L. Brown, sustaining fatal injuries. A third individual in the car was also wounded but was expected to recover. The Caddo Parish Coroner's office later confirmed the identities of Williams and Brown as the two deceased victims of the triple shooting.
The Shreveport Police Department immediately launched an investigation into the double homicide. Law enforcement discovered the gunman's vehicle, a gray Chevrolet Camaro, abandoned near the intersection of East 65th Street and Henderson Avenue.
