On May 1, 2024, at approximately 6:45 p.m., 17-year-old Artavious Taysean Prim was shot in the 800 block of West 70th Street in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was transported to Ochsner LSU Health Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. This incident marked the 24th homicide in Shreveport and the 27th in Caddo Parish for the year.
