In the early morning hours of November 16, 2023, the life of 19-year-old Deangelo Little was tragically cut short in his Shreveport, Louisiana, home. An African American male, Mr. Little was fatally shot just before 1 a.m. inside his residence on the 300 block of East 72nd Street. The incident marked the 72nd homicide in Shreveport and the 77th in Caddo Parish for the year 2023.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find that Mr. Little had sustained a gunshot wound to the head.
He was quickly transported to Ochsner LSU Health for medical attention. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Deangelo Little was pronounced dead at 2:16 a.m.
As of now, authorities have not publicly identified any suspects in connection with the shooting, and no arrests have been made.
