On January 6, 2024, Marvin Reed, a 39-year-old man from Eight Mile, Alabama, was fatally shot in Houma, Louisiana. The incident occurred at Thirsty Thirty Sports Bar located on Barataria Avenue in Houma.
The shooting resulted from a physical altercation between Reed and his coworker, 39-year-old Christopher Boutwell from Theodore, Alabama.
