White/Caucasian male Jaken James Roussel, 19, of Houma, Louisiana, died on September 9, 2025. Deputies with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office were dispatched just after 6 p.m. to an apartment in the 700 block of Bayou Gardens Boulevard after reports of multiple gunshots; they found a 19-year-old male inside who was pronounced dead at the scene and an 18-year-old woman who was rushed to an out-of-area hospital in critical condition.
