In the early evening hours of January 14, 2024, the life of 20-year-old Kyler Boudreaux of Gonzales, Louisiana, was tragically cut short. Boudreaux, a young male, was discovered fatally shot around 5 p.m. in the 900 block of South Abe Street. His body was found lying in the middle of the street, a grim conclusion to a life that had recently been marked by violence.
Investigators with the Gonzales Police Department noted that this was not the first time Boudreaux had been a target.
Just a month prior, on December 9, he was the victim of a non-fatal shooting that occurred in the backyard of a residence on West Sidney Street. Authorities have publicly stated they cannot rule out a potential connection between the two shootings, suggesting the earlier incident may have been a precursor to the fatal encounter in January.
As the investigation into Kyler Boudreaux's death continues, law enforcement has not yet publicly identified any suspects in either the fatal shooting in January or the earlier incident in December. No arrests have been announced in connection with his murder.
