In a tragic turn of events on the evening of January 17, 2024, a family argument in a Walker, Louisiana mobile home park escalated into a double homicide, claiming the lives of 58-year-old Kenneth Ary and his 21-year-old daughter, Helen Ary. The male victim, Kenneth, resided at the Pleasant Oaks Mobile Home Park where the fatal incident occurred.
That evening, an argument broke out between Kenneth, his daughter Helen who was visiting from Texas, and his other daughter, 22-year-old
Kennetra Ary, who lived with him. The dispute took a violent turn when Kennetra allegedly retrieved a firearm and fired multiple shots at her father and sister. Both Kenneth and Helen Ary succumbed to their gunshot wounds at the scene.
Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the incident and quickly identified Kennetra Ary as the suspect. She was taken into custody on the same day and subsequently booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center. Kennetra Ary faces two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of her father and sister. Investigators have indicated that no one else was involved in the altercation.
