In the summer of 2017, the quiet community of Walker, Louisiana, was disturbed by the violent death of a local man. Rick McBride, a 61-year-old self-employed structural detailer, was found fatally shot in his home on Pine Park Drive on July 22, 2017. The discovery of his body launched a homicide investigation that would lead authorities across state lines in pursuit of a group of young suspects.
