In the early afternoon of January 24, 2024, tragedy struck in the Algiers neighborhood of New Orleans. A shooting incident unfolded in the 3400 block of Wall Boulevard at approximately 1:13 p.m., resulting in the death of 19-year-old Antoine Patin. The Orleans Parish Coroner's office later identified Patin as the victim of the fatal gunfire.
The incident, which also left three other individuals injured, prompted an investigation by the New Orleans Police Department.
In the course of their inquiries, detectives identified Patrice Delores Cook as a person of interest. Authorities have clarified that Cook, a Black female born on November 26, 1981, is not wanted for the homicide. However, they believe she possesses information that could be crucial to solving the case and have publicly appealed for assistance in locating her to aid in their investigation. The police have encouraged anyone with information regarding Cook's whereabouts or other details about the shooting to come forward.
