In the early morning hours of Monday, May 24, 2021, the life of Jermaine A. Cobb Sr. was tragically cut short. The 36-year-old male was discovered at approximately 5:00 a.m. in the 1400 block of Tricou Street, a residential area within the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans, Louisiana. He had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, but Cobb was pronounced dead upon their arrival.
The New Orleans Police Department promptly launched a homicide investigation into the shooting. At present, the case remains an open investigation as authorities continue to seek information from the public to help shed light on the circumstances that led to the death of Jermaine Cobb Sr. No suspects have been publicly identified, and no arrests have been announced in connection with the homicide. The investigation is ongoing.
