On February 1, 2024, a shooting incident occurred in the 1100 block of Lafayette Street in Houma, Louisiana, resulting in the death of 20-year-old Terrance Scott. The Houma Police Department responded to the scene at approximately 5:45 PM, where they found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
