In the small city of Winnfield, Louisiana, a tragic event unfolded, leaving the community in mourning. Twenty-year-old Amyria McDonald, a female resident of Winnfield, lost her life on May 1, 2024, in what authorities have described as a murder-suicide. The incident also resulted in the death of 21-year-old Virgil Smith, Jr., from the nearby Natchitoches area.
