On April 3, 2024, 33-year-old white female Marcey Vincent was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds in a makeshift homeless encampment located in a wooded area near the intersection of Scott Street and Shrewsbury Road in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office reported that two other individuals were also found deceased at the scene: 44-year-old white female Mindy Ann Robert and 53-year-old black male Warren Fairley.
