In a grim discovery on April 3, 2024, the body of 33-year-old Marcey Vincent was found in a makeshift homeless encampment in Jefferson Parish, a suburb of New Orleans. She was not alone; alongside her were the bodies of Mindy Ann Robert, 44, and Warren Fairley, 53. All three victims had been shot multiple times. The tragic scene was uncovered in a vacant lot near the intersection of Scott Street and Shrewsbury Road, an area hidden from plain view by brush.

Marcey Vincent and Mindy Robert were experiencing homelessness and resided at the encampment. Warren Fairley, on the other hand, lived in a nearby home. The initial 911 call was made by a man who was dating one of the female victims when he happened upon the horrific scene that morning. While the investigation is ongoing, authorities have made an arrest in connection with the triple homicide.
Noel Marine, 55, was taken into custody and is facing three counts of first-degree murder and one count of obstruction of justice. A key piece of evidence leading to his arrest was a fingerprint found on a metal folding chair at the crime scene. Marine's fingerprints were already in the national database due to prior convictions, including drug-related charges for which he had served a 15-year prison sentence. The motive for the killings is thought to be a dispute over a stolen bicycle. Marine is currently being held on a $100,000 bond. In the wake of the tragedy, law enforcement has increased the reward for any information that could further aid their investigation.
