On June 29, 2024, Sheila Mitchell, a 50-year-old woman from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was found shot to death inside a home. The incident occurred in the 1300 block of North Cristy Drive, near the corner of La Margie Avenue and North Cristy Drive. Patrol officers discovered her body around 8:45 a.m..
