In the quiet town of Saint-Martinville, Louisiana, a tragedy unfolded on the evening of August 3, 2024, forever altering the lives of a local family. Javonte 'Buck' Anthony, an 18-year-old Black male, was inside a residence on Washington Street when violence shattered the peace. Just after 8:15 p.m., the sound of gunshots rang out, and when authorities arrived, they found Anthony suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
