On Saturday, August 3, 2024, at approximately 8:15 p.m., a homicide occurred on Washington Street in St. Martinville, Louisiana. The victim, identified as Javonte "Buck" Anthony, was found inside a residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Responding officers from the St. Martinville Police Department transported Anthony to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
