In the late afternoon of Thursday, March 23, 2023, the community of Saint-Martinville, Louisiana, was shaken by a violent incident that claimed the life of 19-year-old Christopher Jones, a male resident of the area. The St. Martinville Police Department received reports of a shooting and dispatched officers to the corner of Porter Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
