In the wake of a University of Louisiana homecoming game, the festive atmosphere in Lafayette was shattered by gunfire that erupted outside KOK Wings and Things. In the chaos of that November 9, 2024, evening, 24-year-old Jamir Carmouche, a respected young man known to his loved ones as 'Tookie,' 'Slime,' or '2x,' was tragically killed.
