Amon Josias Bob, a 30-year-old African American man from Lafayette, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on July 17, 2015. He was shot to death early in the morning around 1 a.m. in the 1700 block of Simcoe Street. When police arrived at the scene, they found Bob's body lying in the 100 block of Clifford Street. The incident was reported as the fourth unsolved murder in Lafayette since the spring of that year.
