In the Russell neighborhood of Louisville, a burst of gunfire on the evening of January 10, 2023, tragically cut short the life of David Boyd. The 49-year-old Black man was at 3146 Vermont Avenue when the fatal shooting occurred. The incident, which also claimed the life of another man, Caleb Pace, and left a juvenile injured, sent shockwaves through the community.
