On May 28, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred in Lexington, Kentucky, resulting in the death of 35-year-old Kevin Reel. The incident took place near the intersection of North Limestone and West Short Street. Lexington Police officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 2:43 a.m. after reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Kevin Reel outside suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate response, Reel was pronounced dead at the scene.
